| At the Club's Annual General Meeting on 26th May 2010, Lord Cope's six year term of office as Chairman ended and Lord Freeman was elected Chairman. The sixty Members attending the AGM gave an enthusiastic send off to Lord Cope whose chairmanship has seen the Club go from strength to strength. Lord Cope said that the highlight of his chairmanship had been the election in 2009 of the second President in the Club's history, The Rt Hon Baroness Thatcher. |

| On Tuesday 24 June 2008, eight Lady Associate Members of the Club converted to Ordinary Membership. The first lady to be elected as an Ordinary Member was The Rt Hon Ann Widdecombe MP. |
